Many thanks to Girvan Football club for the enthusiastic response to Girvan men’s shed proposal for a sensory garden for all abilities. The work is well under way. Some of the older movies will soon be found on our Youtube channell.
SENSORY GARDEN PROGRESS:
2020 June/July
- The sign writer is working on the full barrels
- The half barrels are being planted and arranged in a temporary location. Many thanks to the Girvan Community garden Project for helping us out. A visit to the community garden is recommended
2020 August 5th- The barrels are placed in position…
2020 August 10th-First day of planting..
2020 – August 20th- The garden path is being cut…
2020 October 17th-Hurrah the fence is up!!!

2021 March 2nd – Spring planting…
David, sue Pat and Winston have been very busy digging and planting. Sorry Winston, no photo’s of you because you were moving and some pics turned out weird. I took a great pic of you with the wheelbarrow transporting the blocks but it didn’t turn out. I will have to get you to pose properly.
2021 May – a lot of hard work to plant nearly 200 trees …
Trees from the woodland trust and various plants were dug into the soil. Replanting of trees, shrubs and plants were also carried out. A lot of work was carried out…
